Manager/Administrator: Seeking Full time hire.This position will develop, manage project schedules and manage resources for SharePoint. Provide oversight and direction to the project team. Possess the ability and experience to motivate and mentor team members. IT Trainer: Seeking Full time hire. This position provides didactic and desk-side training for SharePoint services to end user staff, site administrators.  SharePoint enterprise services will also be a part of this curriculum.


System Analyst: Seeking Full time hire. This position analyzes and recommends solutions to system problems, implements new systems, develops interfaces with existing systems, and designs site unique software for WAMC. Develops custom applications (e.g. develops user unique reports for Department of the Army Movement Management System - Redesign (DAMMS-R) using DBASE III Plus or spreadsheet applications. Maintains the battalion DAMMS-R database and provides special reports for unit operations centers to facilitate transportation analysis.

Based on requirements and general description of type reports to be produced develops flow charts, system specifications, and system applications. Evaluates and recommends changes to existing systems in order to improve accuracy, refine processing requirements, and increase efficiency.

Network Manager/Architect: Seeking Full time hire. This position maintains and develops the capacity, performance and robustness of the network including security, access control and remote access. Design, implement and document the infrastructure. Facilitate open communication and discussion with key MEDCEN stakeholders and capture and disseminate technical business information. Tech Support Technician: Seeking Full time hire. This positionn is responsible for overseeing the administration, maintenance, and support of the entire IT infrastructure for a particular area.  The technician will assist in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the infrastructure in five major areas: Networking, Telephony, Internal Systems, Help Desk Administration, and Asset Management.  The technician is the liaison of IT-related matters between the functional user and the Information Management Division. The tech provides help desk support within the assigned area and operates as a team member on special tasks or as needed for workload surges.  He or she will interact with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner. Performs technical support for the staff ensuring quality assurance requirements and inspections for implementation of new systems and system changes are accomplished to ensure integration into baseline architectures. Ensures policies, best business process methods and techniques are used for new initiatives.  Prepares input for updates and reports. Determines operational requirements based on input, mission requirements, modernization objectives and growth potentials. Performs work that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Personal Health Information (PHI) systems, networks, and data in transition and data at rest through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. Functions commonly performed may include: implementing policies and procedures to ensure PHI system reliability and accessibility and to prevent, protect and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data; promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations' business and clinical processes; developing and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures; assessing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.


System Administrator: Seeking Full time hire. This positionn implements Medical Center's IM/IT requirements by configuring computer hardware, subsystems, software, and peripherals involved. On a proactive basis, optimizes overall system configuration to achieve the best system performance. This requires strict attentiveness over the computer system performance as it interfaces with various peripherals. Provides information concerning data processing status. Makes recommendations for short and long-term system improvements. Conducts systems analysis studies to create/develop alternative approaches for future needs. Makes recommendations as to the validity of the requirements and optimal approach of the design, development, implementation, and selection of appropriate hardware, and software for IM/IT systems.

Maintains, monitors, and audits the security access management accounts for each of the servers. Sets alarms and reports unauthorized access attempts and intrusions into the file structures to the IT security officer. Corrects any weaknesses in the system in the event of an intrusion. Documents and logs any alarms for permission violations at the local or global group level.

Maintains asset management software that provides an inventory of software, hardware, and network assets. Administers software management package that provides a single point of delivery and mass distribution of software packages, updates, etc. Provides assistance with the security configuration and installation of software used to remotely access end user PCs for the purpose of problem resolution.


Network Administrator: Seeking Full time hire. Web Developer: Seeking Full time hire. This position performs administration on servers running World Wide Web (WWW), Internet, SharePoint and Intranet applications and ensuring Web optimization and tuning services. The incumbent keeps current with trends and technology shifts related to WWW areas. The incumbent has overall responsibility for performance of hardware, system and application software. Updates content of the various pages/files on the server, and recommends hardware and software purchases and upgrades. The incumbent creates web pages using a variety of programming techniques including Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), ASP, NET, JAVA, scripting etc, existing web pages. Support customers with creation of web pages, including graphics integral to those documents. Loads files and manages directory structures to ensure appropriate operation and isolation of separate application areas. Is familiar with the status of Internet, Intranet, and WWW policies and positions, Army Department of Defense programs, directions and goals related to the Internet. Installs, configures, and tests new software upgrade packages for both the client and the web Server operating system and all browser application packages, as appropriate for the WAMC. Installs client browsing software or file transfer software, installs application programming software, and establishes security settings and procedures for all these capabilities. Monitors, adjusts, and upgrades servers to ensure optimization of servers. Maintains system log books to reflect all changes and documentation. Monitors system performance daily, which includes checking and analyzing operating system log files and appropriate applications HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) server, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, etc.) log files. Interprets log files anomalies and takes appropriate corrective actions. Maintains proficiency in a variety of software browsers to include Internet Explorer, installations and configurations of same. Develop documentation to reflect standards and operating procedures. Establishes Web page development local standards as it relates to size, structure, content, template design and authorizing tools. Coordinates closely with Public Affairs to ensure WWW content is within established standards. Participates in studies and surveys to identify hardware and software solutions for technical and functional problems/needs and provide general technical support to the WWW. Serves as an advisor to other in house personnel with regard to WWW related discussions to include optimization of workstation for Web page development. Contact with customers is frequent, and maintains good customer relations. As the Information Security Administrator of the SharePoint, internet and intranet servers, manages security aspects of the Web site, including performing Operational Security (OPSEC) review of content, analysis of appropriate log file entries and implementation of security countermeasures, when necessary. Countermeasures may include adjusting security controls like access permissions, password files, and access control lists. Refers serious security problems to security specialists or higher authorities. Monitors system security performance logs daily, which includes checking and analyzing appropriate applications (HTTP server, FTP server, etc.). Interprets log file anomalies and takes appropriate corrective actions. Provide support to the Project Management Branch on various special projects to include but not limited to user interface development, business intelligence portal, digital signature technology, training, evaluation and implementation of developing technology, business development, etc. Works on a team or as a team leader to assist in the design, development and implementation of various and diversified projects. Visual Information Specialist: Seeking Full time hire. This position on must have knowledge of, and skills in, a wide range and variety of methods, materials and techniques used in the design, production and reproduction of visual information products to plan the technical details of or to produce aesthetically composed visual information products in a timely manner. Skill in visualizing objects, materials, ideas and information sufficient to create the effect specified by the requester, depicting a variety of subjects related to training or for support of organizational activities and staff functions. Illustrations require use of contrast, appropriate line weight to scale, depiction of textures and sharpness of delineation. Skill in working with a variety of graphic art techniques to depict form in space and reality, entering text, layout of copy, mounting and cutting, matting, dubbing, special effects applications, etc. Knowledge of the duties, priorities, commitments, policies and program goals of the organizational chief and staff to perform non-routine assignment such as locating and summarizing information from files and documents as required or in anticipation of supervisors needs.  Knowledge to utilize software programs to produce word processing documents, spreadsheets and graphic presentations, requiring a qualified typist.  Knowledge and skill in the operation and use of computer graphics equipment, such as computers and their peripherals, cameras, sound devices, inks, papers, films, tapes, etc., to prepare visual aids and carry out illustrating and displaying manually and digital/electronic assignments. Knowledge and skill in use and selection of a broad scope of computer software to provide the desired effect; this includes desktop publishing, presentation, photographic and computer graphics software packages. Knowledge to determine which software and output device will produce the best results within the available resources.  Ability to operate equipment such as digital electronic cameras and video recording and reproduction equipment. Contacts are made with DOD employees and customers within and outside the organization, and commercial vendors and manufacturers. Has contact with personnel in the visual information field at other installations and at U.S. Army Security Assistance Command USASAC. Purpose of contact is routinely to plan, coordinate or advise on work efforts. Contacts are to obtain information needed to produce audiovisual products, and to resolve technical problems.


In/Out Processing Technician: Seeking Full time hire. This position on will perform  assigned portions of professional or technical projects involving such duties as: identification card design, bio-metric equipment operation, keypad operation, identification badge printing, data base entry, structures or systems using established criteria or specifications; tests material, equipment, or systems for compliance with specifications or for evaluation in terms of operational use; reviews technical aspects of applications, designs, or proposed plans for compliance with laws, regulations, standards, specifications, or other requirements. Performs administrative duties such as: gathers and reviews a variety of narrative and/or statistical data to prepare reports; conducts analyses of data to support conclusions or recommendations for action.


Form Designer: Seeking Full time hire. This position ion ensures that paper and electronic forms comply with forms design standards that include: logical sequencing and grouping of entries, adequate spacing, appropriate paper size, logical and cost-effective construction, brief or concise instructions and conformity to all government guidelines and directives. Serves as consultant to office originating form, electronic or manual. Design/redesign electronic and manual (paper) forms and manual if required. Uses "map" designs to lead users through the various data elements on the electronic forms. In this capacity, must have knowledge of personal computer systems, form software (Army’s PureEdge Program or current Army forms program), and customer requirements. Works with users and technical representatives to identify required interfaces and forms completion and distribution requirements. Identifies user information needs prior to designing electronic and/or manual forms. Ensures that all regulatory requirements are met prior to form design. Manages, revises, and distributes electronic forms on the local area network (LAN). Assigns form numbers assuring forms requesting personal information have Privacy Act Statements. Incumbent carries out assignments that may consist of a variation in completion time.

Tasking may include a comprehensive strategic plan to ensure successful implementation of a form or publication throughout the WAMC community. The work involves analyzing requirements from higher headquarters and the customer, interpreting intent, and preparing implementing instructions. Employee must research issues, formulate a plan, prepare, staff, and obtain approval using established formats/regulations.
